Experience
A Dynamic and Energetic Educator
Throughout my career in education, I have had the privilege of working across Key Stage 2 within a large Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) in Greater Manchester. My role has allowed me to collaborate with teachers and school leaders, focusing on curriculum design, pedagogy, and improvement workshops. These experiences have honed my ability to develop educational strategies that are both innovative and practical, ensuring that they meet the diverse needs of the students and educators I work with.
In addition to my hands-on work in schools, I have a deep passion for writing, rooted in my background in journalism. This passion has led me to contribute numerous articles to respected publications such as *REToday*, the Chartered College of Teaching, and various online and print platforms. Writing is not just a means of communication for me; it is a tool to share ideas, influence educational practices, and contribute to the broader discourse on teaching and learning.
My commitment to education extends beyond the classroom and into leadership roles. I served as a Primary Executive on the National Association of Teachers of Religious Education (NATRE) executive committee from 2020-2024. In this capacity, I have had the opportunity to design and deliver RE sessions to teachers across the country, fostering professional growth and enhancing the teaching of religious education nationwide. Additionally, I actively engage with the educational community through social media, particularly on X (formerly Twitter), where I build connections and share insights.
My experience also includes speaking on various online podcasts and shows, where I discuss educational issues and share my expertise. I am always eager to contribute to media discussions on education, believing that sharing knowledge through different platforms is essential for the continuous improvement of our education system.
